We learn more by looking for the answer to a question and not finding it than we from learning the answer itself

The idea of variation between interproximal contacts in molars (or OXIS classification) occurred to Dr. MS Muthu during a routine oral health examination of his daughter's teeth. A few questions raised in his mind,

  1. Whether the existing knowledge about interproximal contacts is true?
  2. If yes, is it only ‘open’ or ‘closed’ contact?
  3. Could there be variations in the interproximal contact areas?
